In 1990 I went to Africa together with swiss circus «Federlos».
I was very fascinated by this continent. Everything was alive. It seemed to me as if even dead objects, like houses or cars were speaking in their own language to me.
To know better the african culture I went for other 3 months by myself to a little town in the north of Nigeria, where I was teacher at the Art Department.
In exchange I could stay in a house for free. I started to paint portraits. I draw people whereever I could make contact with them. In the street, in their appartments, in the school. After I made an exhibition and invited everybody I had known during this period.
